The only way to describe it was playing bingo in flannos lol. Well it was definitely a lot more intense than that! By the end of the night my stomach was aching from laughing so much, not only at the actual show – which is run by professionals mind you but from the massive effort that our guests went to dressing up and getting into character. Many respected business men and woman arrived looking as far from professional as you can imagine… a few were unrecognisable.
Tobruk’s Drovers Camp was the setting for this top night, with a huge roaring fire in the centre and a spit roast cooking away. In true bogan style we had peanuts, pretzels and chippies to munch on and the bar was readily prepared with glasses of “Cardie” available along with a Tooheys or two. Rod Cowdroy and his team were terrific hosts for the evening and put on a top notch spread.
The main question i’ve been asked is …… “did you actually play bingo” YES WE DID… but there were no fat ladies or clickety clicks you’ll have to come to our next night to find out how much fun it is. A laid back, fun night with lots of great friendly locals and some ring ins made it a night to remember. I still can’t stop laughing when i see the pics…. which im sharing with you all.
MAKE SURE YOU COME TO THE NEXT NIGHT WE’LL BE ORGANISING – ANOTHER WFFV ORG COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER !!!!!
Half game show. Half party. Thats how we describe it. One Bingo caller calls out the numbers and his budding Dj play songs from the 80’s and 90’s that rhyme with those numbers.
Throw in some jokes, tributes and spontaneous air guitar competition that make the crowd the stars of the show, you’ll soon see why Bogan Bingo is performing from office spaces to cruise ships.
Since Bogan Bingo has been running for over 8 years, the show has purposely developed into a product that incorporates every type of entertainment you’re ever likely to find.
Each show can be tailored to suit your crowd or event, its as simple as not calling out certain numbers or just not doing the joke we have for it. As a result, we get to perform for all types of schools, companies and communities ranging from Rotary Clubs, Catholic Schools, Motorcycle Clubs and even the Australian Cake decorators Association. What a night that was! All you need is a little sense of humor and the ability to laugh at yourself.
